As the state budget season nears, we have an opportunity to tell our leaders: New York cannot afford to cut corners on care. We’ve collected thousands of messages from people all over the state to tell our elected officials: protect home care in New York. With the New York Caring Majority, we’re hand-delivering these letters to elected officials across New York on October 1 and October 3. Will you join us at one of these locations?

I’m calling to make sure that Governor Hochul knows how important it is to invest in home care in New York.
Home care workers deliver essential services, allowing older adults and people with disabilities to live safely, independently, and with dignity.
I urge you to invest in the state’s home care workforce and raise worker wages to 150% of the state’s minimum wage, protect consumer-directed home care, and end private insurance profiteering in our home care system.
By investing in care and care workers, we can make care jobs good jobs and ensure that families across the state can access the care they need.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
