Position Summary: 

Families Belong Together, a campaign of the National Domestic Workers Alliance, is a coalition that includes nearly 250 organizations representing Americans from all backgrounds who have joined together to fight family separation and promote dignity, unity, and compassion for all. Together we have raised millions of dollars for immigrant children and families, mobilized hundreds of thousands of people in all 50 states to take action, and helped to reunite thousands of families. We are working to permanently end family separation and detention, seek accountability for the harm that’s been done, and immediately reunite all families who remain torn apart. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Facilitate and monitor ongoing FBT projects (both internally and with partners)
  • Participate in, prepare for and provide internal facilitation for staff and coalition meetings. Attend retreats. 
  • Act as a liaison with our team in Tijuana; coordinate logistics 
  • Co-lead event and strategy logistics for Coloring Without Borders project
  • Support FBT budgetary needs, manage cash flow 
  • Provide general operational logistical support on special projects 
  • Establish internal systems for team dynamic and project execution 
  • Track payments and completion of invoices; manage and track external consultant scopes of work and invoices 
  • Support Development and Finance teams to reconcile budgets and hit funder reporting deadlines 
  • Oversee the day to day functioning of the organization including internal structures, systems and policies
  • Manage the FBT calendar to ensure it is up-to-date
  • Manage inventory of organizational platforms and systems
  • Ensure existing and new staff are set up in terms of orientation and training on organizational practices 
  • Expertise, skill, interest and commitment in doing administrative work- including office operations, communications systems and travel support;
  • Proactively identify gaps and propose solutions and improvements to systems
  • Introduce new processes and policies, execute plans for implementation 
  • Design, implement and maintain infrastructure systems and merchandise inventory
Job Requirements: 
  • Extremely well organized with an excellent attention to detail 
  • Experience managing budgets and invoices 
  • Excellent relational skills: friendly, diplomatic, and patient 
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and tasks;
  • Skilled proficiency with technology and computer operations and programs, specifically:
    • MS office suite
    • Macbooks and Apple products
    • Online Cloud Computing and other web-based programs
  • Database entry experience
  • Ability to work well with diverse groups and populations;
  • Self motivated and a proven ability to work independently and in partnership with a highly motivated team in a fast-paced, demanding, and rapidly growing organization;
  • Bilingual English/Spanish speaker preferred
